All-on-4 Implants
Dentures have a reputation for being uncomfortable and constantly falling out or else feeling unstable, but when dentures are installed over dental implants, they can be very sturdy and function as well as your real teeth. Our dentist provides All-on-4® implants in New Britain & Jenkintown to keep your dentures well-supported and comfortable so that you can eat and speak normally.
If you are missing multiple teeth and looking to replace them with a solution that is stable and comfortable, implant-supported dentures may be just what you need. Implant-supported dentures cover your teeth similarly to traditional dentures, but they are secured in place over dental implants, allowing for improved function when eating and speaking. Traditional dentures can sometimes feel loose and can even fall out, but implant-supported dentures can restore not only your smile but your confidence as well when you don’t have to worry about a potentially embarrassing mishap with your false teeth.
The process for receiving implant-supported dentures is similar to that for receiving single-tooth implants. Our dentist will first place high-quality implant posts directly into your jawbone. These implant posts will be placed strategically in your mouth in order to provide the best fit for your dentures. Traditionally, implant-supported dentures have required 6-8 implants. With All-On-4 implants, your dentures can be stabilized and secured with only 4 implants, resulting in a much less invasive treatment overall.
Once your implants have fused with your jawbone and you have healed from the implant placement procedure we will affix your custom-made dentures to the implants to restore your smile and your ability to speak and eat with confidence. The implants will provide maximum stability and the final result should feel and function like your natural teeth for many years to come.
As your implant-supported dentures are designed to last for a lifetime, you will need to make sure to care for them just as you would your natural teeth with good oral hygiene at home and regular visits to our office to receive preventive care. Please also remember that while the implants themselves may remain firmly anchored in your mouth, you may need to replace the dentures at some point in the future if they break or wear out.
